Beef In Red Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

600 g

5 bowls

1 bowl

1/2 cup




tender meat, sliced


thin coconut milk, from 1 coconut

thick coconut milk, from 1 coconut

turmeric leaves

stalks lemon grass

red chilies

Method :
  1. Slice beef as desired, clean and drain it.
  2. Take 1/4 of the grated coconut and fry until golden.
  3. Pound or grind this coconut until its oil comes out.
  4. Leave aside.
  5. Squeeze the rest of the coconut to get the milk.
  6. Boil it.
  7. Grind finally all the other ingredients and mix together with the beef.
  8. Put beef into the boiled coconut milk.
  9. Simmer until the gravy thickens.
  10. Add in the fried coconut, salt and sugar to taste.
  11. Simmer until the gravy is slightly dry and remove from fire.
