Beef Stroganoff Recipes

Ingredients :

15ml oil

450g minced beef

1 onion, quartered

30ml tomato purée

25g plain flour

450ml beef stock

1 green pepper, seeded, halved and sliced

115g open cap mushrooms, sliced

300ml soured cream

salt and freshly ground black pepper

fresh parsley, to garnish

Method :
  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  2. Add the minced beef and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the onion, tomato purée and flour.
  4. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the beef stock.
  6. Season well and bring to the boil.
  7. Add the pepper and mushrooms.
  8. Cook for a further 20 minutes.
  9. Stir in half of the soured cream and cook for 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and served with freshly cooked rice and the remaining soured cream.

A great standby when entertaining, beef stroganoff is easy to prepare. Simply serve with rice for a quick and very tasty meal.
