Braised Beef With Radish

radish
oil
clove garlic, sliced
piece ginger, sliced
star anise
large onion, quartered
pepper corns
thin soy sauce
sugar
salt
stalk coriander leaves, chopped |
Method :

Clean and cut the beef into 4 cm
cubes.

Cut radish into 4 cm pieces also.

Heat 3 tablespoons oil and fry the
garlic, ginger and onion until light brown.

Add beef and stir well for a few
minutes.

Add 2 cups water, star anise,
peppercorns, soy sauce, sugar and salt.

Simmer in a covered pan for 2
hours.

When the beef is tender, add radish
and cook for 30 minutes until radish is tender.

Season to taste and serve
immediately garnished with coriander leaves.
