Savory Dumplings Recipes

Ingredients :

1.25 cups sifted all-purpose flour

2.5 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp dried leaf marjoram

1/4 tsp dried leaf savory

1.5 tbsp shortening

2/3 cup milk

Method :

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl. Add marjoram and savory and mix lightly with a fork. Add shortening and cut in finely. Add milk and mix lightly and quickly with a fork. Drop by large spoonfuls on top meat and vegetables (not in liquid). Cover tightly and simmer 15 minutes. Do not lift cover during cooking.
