A microwave is very handy for thawing and reheating individual servings of frozen soup.

- Place plastic bags in mugs suitable for the freezer and the microwave, and fill the bags with soup.

- Freeze soup in the mugs and then remove the mugs.

- To defrost and reheat, place a bag of frozen soup back into a mug and microwave on ‘Medium’ until the soup comes away from the bag.

- Place the still frozen soup-block into the mug, cover and microwave on ‘High’ for 1 minute. Break up the soup with a fork and then microwave on ‘High’ for a further 2-3 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
