These are about 10cm / 4 inches in length, often with claws, and are a pale pink when raw, turning a deeper pink when cooked.

Shrimps (Prawns) have a grey, hinged shell which turns pink when cooked. Small shrimps are usually sold already cooked. Only the body and tail are edible.
