Bacon and Eggs Recipes

Ingredients :

2 tbsp fat, oil or butter

4 slices bacon

2 eggs

salt and pepper to taste

Method :

Set the oven to 150C, Mark 2. Put a serving dish in the oven to heat. Melt 1 tbsp fat, oil or butter in a frying pan. Make a few cuts in the fat of the bacon. Fry the bacon gently until it is golden brown. Turn each slice once during cooking. Take it out of the frying pan. Put it on kitchen paper on the serving dish, and keep it warm in the oven. Add the rest of the fat, oil or butter to the frying pan. Break each egg into a cup before you put it in the frying pan. If you do this you will not break the yolk. Fry the eggs over a low heat for 3-4 minutes. Spoon a little of the fat over the eggs while they are cooking. Take the eggs out of the pan carefully. Add a little salt and pepper. Serve bacon and eggs very hot. Many people eat fried or grilled tomatoes or mushrooms with bacon and eggs. They are also good with chips or with fried bread.

Serves 2

Everybody knows this as the traditional British breakfast, but we also eat bacon and eggs for lunch or supper.
