Stilton Burger Recipes

Ingredients :

450g minced beef

1 onion, finely chopped

1 celery stick, chopped

5ml dried mixed herbs

5ml prepared mustard

50g crumbled stilton cheese

4 burger buns

salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method :
  1. Place the minced beef in a bowl together with the onion and celery.
  2. Season well.
  3. Stir in the herbs and mustard, bringing them together to form a firm mixture.
  4. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions.
  5. Place four on a chopping board and flatten each one slightly.
  6. Place the crumbled cheese in the center of each.
  7. Flatten the remaining mixture and place on top.
  8. Mould the mixture together encasing the crumbled cheese and shape into four burgers.
  9. Grill under a medium heat for 10 minutes, turning once or until cooked through.
  10. Split the burger buns and place a burger inside each.
  11. Serve with salad and mustard pickle.

Slightly more up market than the traditional burger, this tasty recipe contains a delicious surprise. The lightly melted Stilton cheese encased in a crunchy burger is absolutely delicious.
