Chicken In Thick Red Sauce Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

chicken drumsticks

shallots, slice 3

piece ginger, pounded

cloves garlic, slice 4

piece ginger, sliced

almonds, blanched and skinned

curry powder

medium sized tin tomato puree

evaporated milk

corn oil

salt and sugar to taste

Method :
  1. Put the chicken drumsticks into a pan with enough water to cover and add sliced shallots, ginger and garlic.
  2. Cook till chicken is nearly done.
  3. Pound the remaining shallots, garlic and ginger with almonds.
  4. Mix in curry powder blended with 4 teaspoons water.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Heat oil and fry the cinnamon and cloves until fragrant.
  7. Add the curry powder mixture and tomato puree.
  8. Fry until fragrant.
  9. Pour the fired ingredients into the chicken mixture.
  10. Add the tomato slices and cook until chicken is tender and tomato is done.
  11. Add in milk, salt and sugar.
  12. Simmer until the gravy thickens.
