Method :

Combine flour and seasonings in paper
or plastic bag; add 2-3 pieces of chicken at a time and shake.

Heat shortening (1/4 inch deep in
skillet) till a drop of water sizzles.

Brown meaty pieces first; then add
others (don't crowd).

Turn pieces once.

When lightly browned, 15-20 minutes,
reduce heat; cover lightly. (If cover isn't tight, add 1 tbsp
water).

Cook till tender, 30-40 minutes.

Uncover last 10 minutes.
Makes 2 servings.
For extra crustiness, add 1/2 cup fine dry
bread crumbs to flour for the coating.
