Roast Chicken Recipes

Serves Six

Ingredients :

1 table spoon flour

1 large oven cooking bag

1 medium onion, chopped

1 stalk celery, chopped

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (all visible fat removed)

2 cups water

1 package powdered Durkee chicken gravy (comes with its own cooking bag)

4 large baking potatoes, peeled and chunked (optional)

4 large carrots, cleaned and chunked

1/2 tea spoon poultry seasoning pepper to taste


Method :

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Shake flour into cooking bag.
  3. Put all dry ingredients in bag and mix.
  4. Add water and mix with dry ingredients
  5. Place vegetables in bag (include potatoes if you're not making twice baked potatoes with this meal)
  6. Place chicken on top of vegetables.
  7. Close the bag with tie provided and cut six 1-inch slits in top
  8. Place pan on middle rack of oven.
  9. Bake for 90 minutes, be sure bag is not hanging over side of pan
