Chicken and Basil Stir Fry Recipes

Ingredients :

450 g

boneless chicken thighs

dark soy sauce

corn flour

groundnut (peanut) oil

cloves garlic, thinly sliced

fresh red chili, seeded and thinly sliced

chili powder

hoisin sauce

small bunch basil leaves, shredded

basil leaves and blanched red chili strips, to garnish

Method :
  1. Remove skin and fat from chicken.

  2. Cut meat into 2.5 cm strips and place in a bowl.

  3. Stir in soy sauce and corn flour.

  4. Heat oil in a wok and stir fry chicken with garlic and chili for 7-8 minutes.

  5. Add chili powder and hoisin sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in shredded basil.

  7. Garnish with basil leaves and chili strips and serve on a bed of rice.
