Chili Prawn Balls Recipes

Ingredients :

450 g



2 tablespoons


cooked, peeled large prawns, thawed

fresh red chili, seeded and chopped

spring onions, finely chopped

corn flour

egg white, lightly beaten


freshly ground black pepper

strips fresh red chili, to garnish

Method :
  1. Place prawns, chili, spring onions, lemon zest, corn flour, egg white and black pepper in a blender or food processor and process to form a firm dough like mixture.

  2. Divide prawn mixture into 12 portions and form each portion into a smooth ball, flouring hands with extra corn flour if necessary, to prevent sticking.

  3. Bring a wok or large saucepan of water to the boil, arrange prawn balls on a layer of greaseproof paper in a steamer and place over water.

  4. Cover and steam 5 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Garnish with sliced chili to serve.
