Chinese Roast Pork (Char Siew) Recipes

Ingredients :

550 g

3 tablespoons

3 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

pork

fish sauce

sugar

Chinese rice wine

Method :
  1. Cut the pork into 3 cm strips.

  2. Marinate for 2 hours in a mixture of fish sauce, sugar and rice wine.

  3. Turn over every 30 minutes.

  4. Grill the seasoned pork for 15 minutes on each side under a very slow grill.

  5. Brush the pork with the seasoning every 5 minutes so that the meat will not be too dry.

  6. Cook the remaining seasoning in a pan until thick and pour over the pork.

Serves 4 - 6
