Five Spice Salmon Steaks Recipes

Ingredients :

salmon steaks, each weighing 175 g

five spice powder

groundnut (peanut) oil

clove garlic, finely chopped

rice wine

light soy sauce

sesame oil

zest 1 lemon, cut into fine strips

Method :
  1. Rinse salmon steaks and pat dry with absorbent paper.
  2. Rub both sides with five spice powder and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and salmon and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until salmon is lightly browned.
  4. Add rice wine, soy sauce and sesame oil and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until salmon is just cooked through.
  5. Stir in lemon zest.
  6. Remove salmon with a slotted spoon and remove skin.

Serves 4
