Fried Won Tons Recipes

Ingredients :

175 g

115 g

1 tablespoon

1/2 tablespoon

1/2 tablespoon


minced pork

can water chestnuts, finely chopped

corn flour


Chinese rice wine or dry sherry

won ton skins

vegetable oil, for frying

dash sesame oil

pinch pepper

Method :
  1. Mix together minced pork, water chestnuts, 1 tablespoon water, corn flour, salt, rice wine or sherry, sesame oil and pepper until combined.

  2. Divide into 30 portions.

  3. Put 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of a won ton skin.

  4. Diagonally fold skin in half to form a triangle.

  5. Fold egg containing filling over about 1 cm.

  6. Bring 2 points together, moisten one inner edge and pinch edges together to hold.

  7. Repeat with remaining won tons and filling.

  8. Heat a wok, then add vegetable oil.

  9. Deep fry won tons over a medium heat until golden.

  10. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and serve.

Makes 30 won tons.
