Ginger Chicken Patties Recipes

Ingredients :

450 g

Dip :

2 tablespoons

lean minced chicken

clove garlic, finely chopped

piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped

chopped coriander

corn flour

cooked long grain white rice

egg white, lightly beaten

sunflower oil

salt and freshly ground pepper


light soy sauce

dry sherry

piece fresh root ginger, peeled and grated

Method :
  1. In a bowl, mix together chicken, garlic, ginger and coriander.

  2. Stir in corn flour, rice, salt and pepper.

  3. Stir in egg white.

  4. Divide mixture into 8 portions and shape into 7.5 cm diameter patties, dusting hands with extra corn flour if needed.

  5. Place on a plate, cover and chill for 30 minutes.

  6. Preheat grill.

  7. Brush grill rack lightly with oil and place patties on rack.

  8. Brush tops lightly with oil and cook for 4 minutes.

  9. Turn patties over, brush again with oil and cook another for 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.

  10. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper.

  11. To make dip, mix together soy sauce, sherry and ginger in a small bowl.

  12. Garnish patties with coriander and serve with dip.
