Mushroom Rice Pilaf Recipes

Serves Four

Ingredients :

3/4 cup of water

1 can low-sodium chicken broth (defatted)

1 cup brown rice

1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cup celery, sliced

1/2 cup onions, chopped

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Method :

  1. Bring water and chicken broth to a boil
  2. Add rice
  3. Simmer covered for 20 minutes
  4. While rice is cooking, sauté mushrooms, celery and onions in a nonstick skillet with 1/4 cup water
  5. Combine cooked rice and mushroom mixture
