Roast Pork With Honey Recipes

Ingredients :

450 g

2.5 cm


piece lean pork fillet

chopped coriander leaves

Szechuan peppercorns, toasted and ground


brown sugar

dark soy sauce

piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped

clove garlic, finely chopped

Method :
  1. Preheat oven to 190oC (375oF), Gas 5.

  2. Trim any fat and silver skin from pork and place fillet on a rack in a roasting pan.

  3. Pour in enough water to cover bottom of pan.

  4. To make glaze, mix together Szechuan peppercorns, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger and garlic and brush generously over pork.

  5. Roast for 1 hour or until cooked through, brushing occasionally with glaze and adding more water to pan if it dries out.

  6. Remove cooked pork from rack and sprinkle with chopped coriander until coated all over.

  7. Slice and serve with rice and vegetables.
