Thick Corn Soup Recipes

Ingredients :

6 cups

21/2 cups

1/2 teaspoon

1/4 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

4 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

vegetable stock

tinned creamed corn

salt

ground pepper

sesame oil

cornstarch blended in 4 tablespoons water

hot red pepper

Method :
  1. Heat the stock and creamed corn in a pot and bring to the boil.
  2. Add the salt, pepper and sesame oil and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir in the blended cornstarch and cook until soup thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and pour into soup bowls.
  5. Sprinkle with red pepper.
  6. Serve in individual bowls as the first course in a Chinese meal.
