Watercress and Pork Soup Recipes

Ingredients :

soy sauce


Method :
  1. Clean the pork and cut away the excess fat.
  2. Clean watercress and pluck off the green leaves and young shoots, leaving only the stems.
  3. Place the pork in a saucepan with 6 cups water and bring to boil.
  4. Add watercress stems and simmer the soup for 11/2 hours.
  5. Take out the pork and slice it into thin slices.
  6. Remove the watercress stems and throw them away.
  7. Bring soup to boil again and add salt, watercress leaves and shoots.
  8. Bring to boil again and remove from heat.
  9. Season to taste.
  10. Take out the watercress shoots and arrange on a serving dish.
  11. Arrange sliced pork on top and sprinkle soy sauce and pepper over it before serving.
  12. Serve soup separately.

Serves 4 - 6

Radish is a very nutritious vegetables, especially in soups.
