to boil in saucepan, lower egg in gently and soft boil to preference
(3-5 minutes). Crumble bread into an individual serving bowl. Add
margarine, pepper and salt. Lift egg out of water, crack open top, and
spoon soft egg onto bread mixture. Stir together gently and serve.
To vary: add
1/2 tsp of finely chopped chives or parsley at step 3.
