medium chicken, cleaned and cut into pieces
large onion, sliced
sprigs to taste
oil
salt to taste
vinegar to taste
Grind Fine
shallots
cumin
dried chilies
small piece turmeric
cloves garlic
piece ginger
Method :
Heat oil in a deep pan and put in mustard seeds.
When seeds crackle add the sliced onions and fry till golden.
Add ground spices and fry for a few minutes.
Add chicken and curry leaves and stir well, frying till the chicken is well coated with the spices.
Reduce heat and simmer till chicken is tender.
Add vinegar and salt to taste, and cook for a few more minutes over low heat before dishing out.
Serves 6-8
