Cold Crab Salad Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

400 g


1 tbsp




cooked crabmeat

large green pepper, seeded and chopped

chopped parsley

large tomatoes, chopped finely

pimento, chopped finely


lemon slices for garnishing


Method :
  1. Mix all the chopped vegetables together in a bowl.
  2. Add the crabmeat then mix in the mayonnaise.
  3. Add enough mayonnaise to make the salad moist.
  4. Arrange lettuce leaves in small salad bowls and spoon the salad mixture in.
  5. Garnish with lemon slices.
  6. Serve cold.

Serves 4 - 6

Note :

St. Francis Xavier was said to have dropped his rosary in the Malacca Straits and it was retrieved by a crab. He blessed the crab and from then on all species of the crab had a cross sign on their shells. It was forbidden to eat such crabs.
