Heat oil in a deep pan, fry onions, cinnamon, cloves, star anise
and curry leaves.
When onions are brown, add tomatoes and fry for two minutes.
Add ginger and garlic, fry for a minute.
Add ground spices and turmeric powder and fry well.
Add meat and salt to taste, cover and simmer for five minutes.
Add enough water for a thick gravy, cover and cook till meat is
tender.

The effects of the common cold can be reduced by adding ground cinnamon
to hot milk, strengthened with whisky or sweetened with honey, or
stirred into a mixture of lemon juice, honey and hot water. The mixture
is to be taken at bedtime.
