Fish Chowder Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

white fish

pork rubbed in salt and left to dry

milk

potatoes, cut into cubes

onion, sliced

flour

oil

salt and pepper to taste

Method :
  1. Parboil potatoes and drain.
  2. Cut pork into small pieces.
  3. Heat a deep saucepan with oil and fry the onions until brown.
  4. Add in the pork, sliced fish and potatoes.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Pour in hot water, cover saucepan and leave to cook gently for 30 minutes.
  7. Heat milk in a separate pan and add in the flour.
  8. Mix to form to thick sauce.
  9. Pour this sauce into the boiling mixture.
  10. Add salt and pepper and when gravy thickens dish out.

Serves 6 - 8

Note :

Turmeric eaten raw is believed to be able to get rid of body odor.
