 Fish Curry (Kari Ikan) Recipes

Ingredients :

1/2 cup

tomatoes, quartered

ladies' fingers

shallots, sliced

cloves garlic, sliced

green chilies

curry powder, blended with 2 tablespoons water

thick coconut milk

thin coconut milk

tamarind juice

sprig curry leaves


salt to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil and fry shallots and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add in the blended curry powder and stir until fragrant without letting it burn.
  3. Add in the curry leaves.
  4. Add the thin coconut milk and bring to boil.
  5. Add the tomatoes, ladies' fingers and tamarind juice.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Put in the fish and bring to boil again.
  8. Add the thick coconut milk and as soon as it boils, switch off the heat.
  9. Serve hot with plain boiled rice.
