Tuna Melt Croissants Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

can water packed tuna, drained

chopped celery

chopped white onion

hard cooked egg, finely chopped

scallion, finely chopped

pickle relish

mayonnaise

croissants, sliced in half or 4 slices of bread

slice American cheese, cut into strips

Method :

Combine the tuna, celery, onion, egg, scallion, relish and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover the bottom half of each croissant with half the mixture.

Top each portion with half the cheese strips and add the top halves of the croissants. Wrap each sandwich in a sheet of paper towel.

Put the sandwiches on a microwavable plate and microwave on high 100% for 45 seconds to 1 minute, until the cheese is melted and the tuna is thoroughly warmed.

Makes 2 sandwiches

Cooking Tip :

To reduce the sodium content of this recipe, use low sodium tuna and cheese and eliminate the salt.
