How to Prepare Squid

To prepare the squid, begin by separating the tentacles from the body. This will pull out the inside of the squid as well. Cut off the newly removed insides and discard. Make a shallow slit in the body of the squid and peel off the outer skin. Since the squid skin is very slippery, it's a good idea to use a cotton glove or a strip of cloth to get a better grip. Remove the long, thin bone from the body. Wash thoroughly and pat dry.
