Tips - Handle Mushrooms

Here are some general hints and tips on how to handle your mushrooms:

  • If you want to marinate them - Simple slice and gently toss with French or Italian dressing, pepper, and parsley. Cover and chill for 1 hour before serving.

  • If you want to barbecue them - Sprinkle large, fresh, flat mushrooms with pepper. Place a small dob of butter on each stalk and grill on barbecue for 10-15 minutes. Do not turn over as juice will run out.

  • If you want to eat them raw - Wipe them with a damp cloth and enjoy the whole mushroom.

  • If you want to store them in the fridge - Use a paper bag - they sweat in plastic.
