Paprika,
is widely used to add color and a sweet capsicum flavor to cream soups
and sauces. Paprika is handy for microwave food in that it gives a nice
broiled or baked appearance to meats.
Spanish Paella recipes get much of their color and rich flavor from
pungent Spanish paprika. Hungarian paprika is a hotter paprika. Use this
spice generously and often as it has a short shelf life. Discard if
Paprika should turn brown.
