Anchovy Chutney (Acar Ikan Bilis) Recipes

Ingredients :

bombay onion


salt to taste

Method :
  1. Roast the peanuts and mix with the anchovies.
  2. The anchovies should have been cleaned earlier by removing the heads and the intestines.
  3. Pound chilies and slice the bombay onion coarsely.
  4. Heat oil in frying pan and stir fry until fragrant.
  5. Add in lime juice and salt and sugar.
  6. Stir well.
  7. When the gravy has thickened, put in the roasted peanuts and anchovies.
  8. Stir well and remove from the fire.

Serves 4 - 6
