Curry Chicken Livers Recipes

Ingredients :

225 g

chicken livers

vegetable oil

onions, finely chopped

cloves garlic crushed

Garam Masala


lemon juice

chopped fresh parsley

parsley sprigs, to garnish

salt and pepper

Method :
  1. Wash chicken livers and remove any green tinged parts.

  2. Set aside.

  3. Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions and cook over a medium heat, stirring for about 8 minutes, until soft and golden brown.

  4. Stir in garlic, garam masala and turmeric and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Fry for 1 minute, then stir in chicken livers and fry for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until livers are browned on outsides but still slightly pink in the centre.

  6. Sprinkle with lemon juice and parsley.

  7. Serve hot, garnished with sprigs of parsley.

Serves 4 as a starter.

Frozen chicken livers can be used : thaw at room temperature for 3-4 hours before using.
