Fresh Mango Chutney Recipes

Ingredients :



3 tablespoons

25 g

2 tablespoons

1/2 teaspoon

1/4 teaspoon

1/2 teaspoon


red chili, seeded and finely sliced

cashew nuts, chopped


chopped fresh mint

ground cumin

cayenne pepper

ground coriander

mint sprigs, to garnish

pinch asafoetida

Method :
  1. Peel and stone mangoes, then very thinly slice flesh.

  2. Put mango slices in a bowl with chili, cashew nuts, raisins and mint and stir gently.

  3. In a small bowl, mix asafoetida, cumin, cayenne and coriander together, then sprinkle over mango mixture.

  4. Stir gently to coat mango mixture in spices, then cover and chill for 2 hours.

  5. Serve chilled, garnished with mint sprigs.

Makes about 225 g.
