Pork Vindaloo Recipes

Ingredients :

750 g

1/2 cup


1 teaspoon

3 tablespoons

pork, cubed

piece ginger

cloves garlic

dried chilies

turmeric powder




sprigs curry leaves

mustard seeds, ground coarsely


salt to taste

vinegar to taste

Method :
  1. Marinate the pork in the ground spices, salt and vinegar for about 30 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan or wok and add the mustard seeds.

  3. Fry until the seeds crackle.

  4. Add curry leaves and pork and stir well; fry for a few minutes.

  5. Add water and bring to the boil.

  6. Cover and reduce heat and simmer till the meat is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

Serves 6 - 8
