peppercorns, ground
turmeric

chilies, slit lengthwise and seeded
vinegar
tamarind
juice
oil
salt to

Method :
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the
onions till golden.
- Add garlic and ginger and fry for
2 minutes.
- Add chicken and stir well.
- Then cover pan and cook on low
heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
- Add pepper, turmeric, chilies and
tamarind juice.
- There should be enough liquid to
just cover chicken.
- Simmer until gravy is thick.
- Add vinegar, stir well and serve
hot
