Spicy Meat Curry Recipes

Ingredients :

500 g



1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon




3 tablespoons

beef, mutton or pork

large onions, sliced

sprig curry leaves

mustard seeds


small piece turmeric

pod garlic

fresh red chilies


vinegar and salt to taste

Method :
  1. Cut meat into bite sized pieces.

  2. Grind garlic, chilies, mustard seeds, cumin, turmeric to a fine paste.

  3. Heat a ghee in a pan, add curry leaves.

  4. Add the onions and fry till golden.

  5. Add the ground spices and fry for 5 minutes.

  6. Add meat.

  7. Stir well and brown for about 5 minutes.

  8. Add 1/2 cup water.

  9. Stir well then cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until meat is tender.

  10. Remove cover, add salt and brown a little over high heat, adding vinegar to taste a few minutes before serving.

Serves 6 - 8
