Tandoori Fish Recipes

Ingredients :



1 teaspoon

1/2 teaspoon

4 tablespoons

2 drops

large pomfret (about 1 kg), remove head and tail

cloves garlic


turmeric powder

unflavored yoghurt

red coloring

salt to taste

juice of one lime

Method :
  1. Grind cumin and garlic.

  2. Cut deep slits on both sides of the fish, rub lime juice over, and keep aside for 10 minutes.

  3. Combine ground cumin and garlic with yoghurt, turmeric, salt and coloring, and rub into the fish.

  4. Leave for marinate for 30 minutes.

  5. Grill the fish or barbecue over a charcoal stove, basting with ghee, seasoned with crushed cardamom seeds and a little chili powder.

  6. Serve piping hot.
