Fried Beancurd in Soy Sauce (Tahu Goreng Kecap) Recipes

Ingredients :

1/2 cup peanut oil

250g beancurd, diced

2 tsp peanut oil, extra

2 tsp root ginger, grated

2 medium-sized chilies, deseeded and sliced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp water

2 tsp palm sugar or brown sugar

200g snow peas, trimmed and halved

1 cup bean sprouts, trimmed

Method :

Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add beancurd and cook until golden and crisp. Remove and set aside. Heat extra oil and add ginger and chilies. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Add soy sauce, water, sugar, beancurd and snow peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until snow peas are tender. Stir through bean sprouts and serve.

Serves 4
