Hot Chili and Garlic Dipping Sauce (Sambal Kecap) Recipes
Ingredients :
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 small red chilies, seeded and finely
chopped
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp tamarind sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
juice of 1/2 lime
Method :
Pound the
garlic, chilies and sugar until smooth using a pestle and mortar, or
grind in a food processor. Add the tamarind sauce, soy sauce and lime
juice.
This sambal
is particularly strong, so warm guests who are unaccustomed to spicy
foods.
