Grilled Pork With Miso Recipes

Ingredients :



Miso Sauce :

3 tablespoons


2 teaspoons

2 teaspoons

pork loin steaks

lemon wedges, to garnish


red miso

spring onions, finely chopped


fresh root ginger juice

Method :
  1. Remove any fat from pork.

  2. If pork is more than 1.5 cm thick, slice in half horizontally.

  3. Preheat grill.

  4. Heat a well oiled wire rack under hot grill and place pork steaks on it.

  5. Gently grill pork for 3-4 minutes on each side or until both sides are golden brown and well cooked.

  6. Meanwhile, in a bowl, make miso sauce by mixing red miso, spring onions, sake and ginger juice.

  7. Lower the heat and remove the rack from the grill.

  8. Spoon miso sauce evenly on to the center of the pork steaks and put back under medium hot grill for 1 minute until miso sauce is fairly dry.

  9. Transfer steaks to 4 individual plates, garnish with lemon wedges and serve.
