LA Galbi - LA Style Marinated Short Rib Recipes

Ingredients :

4 LA Galbi beef strips (about 2 ounces each) -specially cut beef short rib sold in Korean grocery stores

 

Marinade -

3 tbsp soy sauce

6 tbsp granulated sugar

5 tbsp water

4 tbsp Korean rice wine

3 tbsp corn syrup

1 tbsp minced garlic

1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger

1 tbsp Asian sesame oil

pinch of black pepper

Method :

Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and stir well with a spoon. Pound the beef with a tenderizer to soften the meat. Pour the marinade into a plastic bag and add galbi beef. Gently shake the bag to cover the beef with marinade. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before cooking (can be kept up to 12 hours).

On a heated frying pan, cook the beef over medium-high heat to the desired doneness. This dish is bests when cooked over charcoal and served with various vegetables, with or without a bowl of rice.
