Mutton With Cabbage Curry Recipes

Ingredients :

cabbage, cut leaves in half and wash well

meat curry powder

piece ginger, sliced fine

cloves garlic, crushed

piece cinnamon

onion, sliced

coconut milk, from 1/2 grated coconut

tamarind juice

cardamoms

sprig curry leaves

oil

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Put mutton pieces in a saucepan with garlic and ginger.
  2. Add water to cover meat and boil until tender.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and fry the curry leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and onions till fragrant.
  4. Add curry powder and cooked mutton, mix well and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Add cabbage leaves and pour in coconut milk and tamarind juice.
  6. Season to taste and bring curry to the boil.
  7. When cabbage has softened and gravy is thick, remove from fire and serve hot.

Serves 4 - 6
