Steamed Fish with Young Ginger - Laos Recipes

Ingredients :

1 white pomfret (scaled and cleaned, slit at sides)

6cm fresh ginger (grated)

1.5 tbsp fish sauce

1 red chili, 2 shallots, 2 cloves garlic (all thinly sliced)

1 stalk parsley (chopped)

1 stick celery (thinly sliced)

1 stalk coriander leaf (chopped)

lemon slices for decoration

Method :

Place fish in a steamer. Add fish sauce. Steam for 10 minutes. Arrange all other ingredients on fish and continue steaming for 3-4 minutes. Garnish with chili, shallots, garlic and lemon slices. Serve hot.

Serves 4
