Asparagus Drumsticks in Orange Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

4 large asparagus (cut into 12cm length)

250g prawns (shelled)

100g crabmeat (flaked)

50g mixed vegetables

30ml egg white

2 tbsp cornflour

1 red chili (chopped)

salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for Sauce:

50ml orange juice

1/2 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp light soy sauce

For Decoration:

2 oranges, thinly sliced

1 cucumber, thinly sliced

Method :

Grind prawns and crabmeat to a fine paste. Combine mixed vegetables, egg white, cornflour, red chili, salt and pepper to ground mixture. Mix well. Wrap mixture around stalk end of asparagus. Neaten to form a drumstick. Arrange on steamer and steam for 10-15 minutes.

To prepare sauce: Mix all ingredients for sauce and set aside. Serve steamed asparagus with sauce decorated with orange and cucumber slices.

Serves 4.
