Method :
To
prepare satay: Marinate beef cubes with marinating ingredients for 3
hours. Skewer 4-5 marinated beef onto satay sticks. Grill skewered
beef and baste with oil until cooked.
To prepare
pressed rice: Cook rice in water, pandan leaf and salt. Keep stirring the
rice when it starts to boil until rice forms a thick paste. Pour rice into
a swiss roll pan and press down. Leave to cool. Cut rice into cubes.
To prepare
sauce: Saute blended ingredients and add chili paste, kerisik, stock cube,
tamarind juice, water, palm sugar and salt to taste. Let it simmer and
then add peanuts. Stir to combine.
Serve satay
with rice cubes and sauce.
