Prawns Cooked With Fermented Durian Flesh Recipes

Ingredients :

500 g medium sized prawns, shelled

3 cups thin coconut milk

1 cup thick coconut milk

1 cup fermented durian flesh, (Tempoyak)

2 turmeric leaves piece fresh turmeric

3 cm cloves garlic

4 salt to taste

Method :
  1. Place the ground ingredients, thin coconut milk, fermented durian flesh (Tempoyak) and prawns in a pot.

  2. Stir well so the the fermented durian flesh is well mixed.

  3. Cook over a low flame.

  4. When the gravy boils, add in the thick coconut milk and turmeric leaves.

  5. Season well with salt.

  6. Cook until the turmeric leaves are limp.

  7. Serve with rice.

Serves 6 - 8
