Rice In Ghee Recipes

water
ghee
evaporated milk
piece ginger, pounded
screw pine leaf
salt to taste
large onions, sliced
shallots, sliced
pod garlic, pounded
cloves
cardamoms
star anise
piece cinnamon stick |
Method :
- Heat ghee in a large pot and put
in the screw pine leaf, sliced large onions and fry until golden
brown.
- Put in the rest of the ingredients
to be fried.
- Add in water, salt and milk and
bring to boil.
- Add in the rice and mix well but
do not break the rice grains.
- Cook as for the plain boiled rice.
- Garnish with fried shallots when
serving.
Serves 6 - 8
