Chin Hin (Sour Soup) - Myanmar Recipes

Ingredients :

2 tsp oil

1 onion (finely sliced)

2 cloves garlic (pounded)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2-3 green tomatoes (chopped)

40g torn spinach or other greens

1-1.5 liter stock or boiling water

salt to taste

Method :

Heat oil in a saucepan, stir-fry the onion, garlic and turmeric powder for 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes and spinach. Stir well. Then add the fish stock or water and bring to the boil. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Add salt to taste. Serve with rice.

Serves 3-4
