Chilli Crabs Cooking Recipes

crabs, remove top shell, clean and cut into 2

stalk lemon grass


cloves garlic

piece ginger

piece turmeric

piece galangal

piece shrimp paste

dried red chilies

tamarind pulp, mixed with 1/2 cup water and strained


salt and sugar to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the ground ingredients until fragrant.

  2. Add in the tamarind juice and salt and sugar to taste.

  3. Add in 1/2 cup water and bring to boil.

  4. Add in the crabs and mix well with the ingredients.

  5. The gravy should be slightly dry.

  6. Dish out and serve with rice.

Serves 4 - 6
